microStorage is the world's smallest, professional H.264 HD/SD Recorder/Encoder developed by Fraunhofer and based on commercially available Compact Flash Cards.

The microStorage comprises top-class H.264 HD/SD compression and FLASH memory storage made available within a small, ruggedized form factor. Whenever size, weight and power consumption matter for live encoding and/or recording applications the microStorage is the best solution available today.

H.264 HD/SD compression delivers stunning video quality even at those low bit rates required e.g. for live RF transmission from a race car cockpit or for low bit rate proxies needed at film/video acquisition.

The compressed bit stream is made available via a standard Broadcast interface and/or stored onto a single CompactFlash card.

Simplicity in daily operation was a key design criteria: One pushbutton or trigger signal to control recording or playback. More sophisticated setup functionality is accessible via serial interface.
